Bajaj Auto has released its sales report for the calendar year 2021. The company announced that it has exported more than 2.2 million two-wheelers and 0.3 million three-wheelers. Thus making it the highest evert export figure for a calendar year. The demand in the international market is on the rise with the opening of businesses.
This export figure translates to a 30 per cent rise over the previous year. Bajaj Auto mentioned that 125cc plus segment accounted for about 41 per cent of the two-wheeler volumes in CY 2021. Bajaj Auto’s domestically popular products like Pulsar, Dominar and Boxer are a big hit in the international market as well. The key countries included as a part of this export network includes a host of developing countries. The list includes the likes of Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Guatemala, Peru, Turkey, Bangladesh, Nepal and Egypt.
Demand For Dominar And Boxer On The Rise
With the introduction of Dominar 250, the nameplate has become even more popular. In some international markets, the motorcycle is the segment leader in the 250-400cc sports motorcycle class. This includes countries like Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Guatemala and Turkey. Boxer is also growing increasingly popular in key markets of the Africa continent like Nigeria, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Further, Bajaj Auto has confirmed that they are fully prepared to enter other key markets like Brazil and western Europe.
Bajaj Auto’s Plans For India
Being a top-seller in the overseas market does mean Bajaj is not into the Indian domestic market. The motorcycle maker is pretty much looking to expand its business and gain more share in the domestic market. The recent introduction of the Pulsar twin is a big, bold move. Pulsar is one of the most iconic motorcycle nameplates with a massive fan following. And with this new introduction, Bajaj Auto aims to take ahead the legacy of the brand. Both the motorcycle have received an overwhelming response from the customers.
