While we have read about speculative news earlier, Bajaj Auto has now officially announced the launch of their entry-level commuter motorcycle, the CT110. This bike in the 100-110cc class has been priced at INR 37,997 ex-showroom and comes with features which could give it an edge over competition.
The Bajaj CT110 comes with semi-knobby tyres. This will help the bike in urban and rural conditions where the roads are less than ideal and offer better grip. The bike features raised ground clearance for ease of riding over bad roads, larger crash guards which have been strengthened, revised suspension, and the likes. The 2019 CT110 continues with the upswept exhaust, rubber mirror covers and gaiters on the front forks.
Powering the bike is 115cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, DTSi engine which produces 8.6 PS of power and 9.81 Nm of torque matched to a 4-speed gearbox. Bajaj claims that the bike will deliver superior mileage, which we expect to be in the range of 70-80 kmpl in the real world.
For comfort to the rider and pillion, the Bajaj CT110 will get a long padded seat with thick foam, rubber tank pads for a tighter rider seating posture.
Till now, Bajaj Auto has sold more than 50 lakh units of the CT110 in India. As of now, the CT110 is surely the most value for money commuter motorcycle in the Indian two-wheeler space.
The bike is available in 2 variants:
- Bajaj CT110 Kick Start – INR 37,997
- Bajaj CT110 Electric Start – INR 44,480
The bike will be sold in matte green with yellow graphics, black with blue graphics, red with red decals.
