Audi RS e-tron GT & e-tron GT launched, India’s 1st electric supercar

Audi has launched the new e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT in the Indian market. With the launch of the e-tron GT and the RS e-tron GT, Audi becomes the first manufacturer to launch electric supercars in the Indian market. Also, under the e-tron brand, the German carmaker has launched the fourth and fifth electric vehicles in a span of just two months.

Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT – Price & Colours

The Audi e-tron GT comes with a price tag of INR 1,79,90,000 ex-showroom. On the other hand, the RS e-tron GT comes with a price tag of INR 2,04,99,000 ex-showroom, India. The Audi e-tron and RS e-tron GT come with Ibis white, Ascari blue, and Daytona grey. The car also features Floret silver, Kemora grey, Mythos black options. Also, available are the Suzuka grey, Tactics green and Tango red colours. Both the e-tron GT and the RS e-tron GT come with a fixed panoramic sunroof as standard. The cars can also be upgraded with a carbon roof.

Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT – Design Highlights

The fully electric SUV is built on the four-door Grans Turismo coupe concept. Audi boasts that the e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT blends the emotional design and sports car performance. The car features an aerodynamically optimised design and benefits from a drag value of just 0.24. Audi claims that the e-tron GT offers the best drag coefficient of all current R/RS models. The Audi e-tron GT features a closed single-frame grille with the hallmark honeycomb pattern design. The grille is also available in the light Hekla grey colour or body colour options. The electric car features a pronounced hood, a flat windshield and a progressive roofline.

Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT – Interiors

On the inside, the Audi e-tron GT and the Audi RS e-tron GT feature the “monoposto” concept. Under the concept, the interiors strongly focus on the driver. The car features the Audi Virtual Cockpit and a multifunction, sporty flat-bottomed steering wheel. The car also features a central MMI touchscreen display-oriented towards the driver. Audi also offers the Air Quality package (Air Ionizer), as a standard part of the pack to keep the cabin atmosphere healthy. 

Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT – Powertrain

Powering the Audi e-tron GT comes with a 390 kW power unit that is capable of propelling the car from 0 to 100 kmph in a superfast 4.1 seconds. The RS e-tron GT comes with a 475 kW power unit which is capable of sprinting from 0-100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds. The Audi RS e-tron GT comes with a 83.7 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 401 – 481 km on a single charge. The Audi e-tron GT comes with a 93.4kWh battery that provides a range of 388 – 500 km on a single charge, according to the WLTP test cycle. Both come with charging options ranging from 22kW AC to 220kW DC, enabling the 800V architecture to support a fast charge from 5% to 80% in just ~22 minutes.
