Audi has just launched the RS5 Sportback in the Indian market at the price of INR 1.04 crore ex-showroom. The price on the RS5 Sportback is introductory and may see a price hike in the near future. The Audi RS5 Sportback combines performance and practicality, offering the best of both worlds to the customer. The German premium car manufacturer also revealed that Audi will bring the RS5 Sportback to India via the Completely Built-Up (CBU) route. The brand also revealed that the RS5 Sportback is the fifth launch of the year, and more exciting models are ready to come this year.
Audi RS5 Sportback – Design Highlights
The Audi RS5 Sportback comes with a sleek and progressive four-door design. The sporty sedan has an RS-specific glossy black honeycomb grille with a new single-frame design. The car also gets sporty RS bumpers and frameless doors along with body-coloured exterior mirror housings. The Audi RS5 Sportback also gets a surface-mounted spoiler on the back that ends well with the Coupe-Esque roofline of the car. The RS5 Sportback also features 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels. This gives a flatter and a more profound stance, as well as rounded twin exhaust outlets, add a sporty flair to the aesthetics.
Audi RS5 Sportback – Features
The Audi RS5 Sportback comes with features such as Matrix LED headlamps with dynamic turn indicators. The rear features LED combination lamps with dynamic turn signals, and the RS5 Sportback also gets a panoramic sunroof. The car gets a Black and Rock Grey colour theme and decorative aluminium inlays, and Alcantara/leather interior upholstery on the inside.
The RS5 Sportback comes with a 3-spoke multifunction plus leather steering wheel with shift paddles. The car also features stainless steel pedals and a footrest with RS scuff plates on the running boards. Also enhancing the comfort quotient is the pneumatically adjustable lumbar support with massage function on the front sports seats. The car also comes with a 3-zone air-conditioning system and ambient lighting.
The Audi RS5 Sportback features an Audi virtual cockpit Plus instruments cluster with G-Force and Torque meter. Also, an MMI Navigation Plus with MMI Touch with acoustic feedback lies in the centre but is oriented towards the driver. The central infotainment system displays navigation maps and directions, engine and transmission temperatures etc. The car also gets a 180 W Audi sound system with ten speakers and Bluetooth connectivity.
Audi RS5 Sportback – Engine Specifications & Performance
Powering the Audi RS5 Sportback is a 2.9-litre V6 TFSI petrol engine. The engine produces 450 Hp of power and 600 Nm of torque, propelling the car from 0-100 kmph in just 3.9 seconds. The RS5 Sportback can also achieve a top speed of 250 kmph. The driver can also choose from two modes that calibrate the engine’s power curve, shifting of the transmission and steering sensitivity. The motor channels its power through Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system with a self-locking centre differential. The car also gets an RS sports suspension for dynamic handling and RS steel brakes with RS Black Brake Callipers for stopping power.
Audi RS5 Sportback – Safety & Convenience
The Audi RS5 Sportback comes with a plethora of active and passive safety features. These include auto-dimming interior frameless rear-view mirror and power-adjustable ORMVs with memory, heating, power-folding and auto-dimming functions. The car also gets Parking Aid Plus with a rear-view camera as well as an electric tailgate. The Audi RS5 Sportback also features cruise control, a speed limiter, Hold Assist (Auto Hold), and six airbags.
