Audi Q2 discontinued in India?

Audi has removed Q2 from its India website. The crossover that was launched in October 2020 was the brand’s entry-level model. It was offered in five variants namely, Standard, Premium, Premium Plus I, Premium Plus II, and Technology. The Audi Q2 used a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine that made 187 BHP and 320 Nm of torque. The motor was mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox. Audi Q2 also benefited from Audi’s much coveted Quattro all-wheel drive tech.

The New Q3 Will Replace The Outgoing Q2

The new Q3 will replace the Q2, which is now the brand’s most affordable model in the country. Priced from INR 44.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the Q3 is available in two trims. These are, namely, Premium Plus and Technology trims. The equipped engine is the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine.

Audi Q3 key Highlights

The new Q3 uses VW Group’s MQB platform. At the front, we see the SUV using a large hexagonal grille and redesigned LED headlamps. Meanwhile, for the rear, we see wraparound LED tail lamps and redesigned front and rear bumpers.

The 2022 Q3 gets a refreshed interior with a slew of new touches. This includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other key features include power-adjustable, heated and power-folding ORVMs, power-adjustable front seats with lumbar support, a panoramic sunroof, and a 3-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters.

The new Q3 will use a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 187 BHP and 320 Nm. The engine is linked to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system.

The updated Audi Q3 is available in five colour options. These are Pulse Orange, Glacier White, Chronos Grey, Mythos Black, and Navarra Blue. Once launched, the Q3 will go up against the likes of the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and the Volvo XC40.
