Written by Tanisha Arora

Audi’s new Q3 & Q3 Sportback is all set to make a debut in the Indian market. The German luxury car manufacturer has announced that both these products have entered local production. Audi India will manufacture the Q3 & Q3 Sportback SUV at their SAVWIPL plant in Aurangabad, India. Both these cars had very recently seen a price hike, and the pricing post this local manufacturing has remained unchanged. So no direct benefit passed to the customer because of local production.

Audi India also locally assembles car models such as the A4, A6, Q5 & Q7 in India. The new Audi Q3 arrived in India in August 2022 while the Q3 Sportback arrived in our market in February 2023.

Price List:

Audi’s Q3 SUV has been priced in India starting from INR 44,89,000 ex-showroom. The Audi Q3 Sportback on the other hand asks for a lot more, starting from INR 51,43,000 ex-showroom. For reference, the larger Audi Q5 & Q7 have been priced starting from INR 61,51,000 & INR 84,70,000 respectively. While the Audi Q3 is a more conventional SUV from the German brand, the Q3 Sportback as the name suggests is a coupe-styled product with a sloping roofline which stands out amidst competition.

Audi Q3 & Q3 Sportback Engines:

Powering the Audi Q3 40 TFSi Quattro variant is a 1984cc, turbocharged petrol motor producing 190 HP of power and 320 Nm of torque matched to an automatic gearbox with all-wheel-drive letting the SUV accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 7.3 seconds. It comes with Audi Drive Select for drive modes, to drive over city streets or when going off the road. The new Q3 has a top speed of 222 kmph.

Powering the Audi Q3 Sportback 40 TFSi Quattro is the same engine with the same gearbox with the same acceleration time, but the top speed is lower at 220 kmph. But to add more SPORT in the SUV tag, the Q3 Sportback comes with an S Line exterior package.
