Atum 1.0 electric bike deliveries begin in Hyderabad

Atumobile Pvt Ltd. announces the commencement of the delivery of its Atum 1.0 electric motorcycle. This ‘Made in India’ electric motorcycle is all set to fulfil the growing demand for electric vehicles in the Indian two-wheeler market. Atum 1.0 is the first product of Atumobile Pvt Ltd. and more models are on the cards for the future.

Atum 1.0 – First of Many

This electric motorcycle launched back on 1st September 2020 is a cost-effective, performance-oriented and café-racer styled electric bike. . Since the launch, over 400 bookings are currently under process. Maximum of the bookings have come from all major cities across the country including Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru apart from other towns and cities. The Atum 1.0 has a running cost of INR 7 to 10 per day as opposed to INR 80 to 100 when compared to its fuel-powered counterparts when calculated over the 100 km range. The company handed over the first batch of 10 products to the customers at the manufacturing facility in Patancheru, Hyderabad.

Specs and Details

Powering the Atum 1.0 electric motorcycle is a lithium-ion battery pack that gets fully charged in just 4 hours and offers a maximum claimed range of 100 km in a single charge. The charger weighing only 6 kgs makes it pretty much easy to carry anywhere. Most of the parts used in the development of this electric motorcycle are indigenous which helped in curtailing the cost. Atumobile Pvt Ltd mentioned that this electric vehicle will come with a 1-year warranty on the battery. Multiple colour options are on offer which will help cater to a wider set of audience. This electric vehicle is perfect for the ones looking for a retro-looking yet environment-friendly motorcycle. The manufacturing facility located in Patancheru, Hyderabad has an annual capacity to produce around 15,000 units. The International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) approved the Atum 1.0 as a low-speed motorcycle which makes it ready for commercial purposes. The company also claims that there is a need to do an RTO registration nor does the rider need a driving license to ride this electric motorcycle which is also one of its main USP.
