Ather Rizta Electric Scooter launched at INR 1.10 lakh

Ather has launched the new Rizta electric scooter in the Indian market at the price of INR 1.10 Lakh ex-showroom. The Ather Rizta will be available in three variants – Rizta S, Rizta Z and Rizta Z with a larger battery pack. The Introductory price for the Rizta S is INR 1,09,999 ex-showroom, Bengaluru. The Rizta Z with the 2.9 kWh comes with a price tag of INR 1,24,999 ex-showroom, Bengaluru. And the Rizta Z with the 3.7 kWh comes with a price tag of INR 1,44,999 ex-showroom, Bengaluru.

Ather Rizta – Motor, Range & Charging

Powering the Rizta S and Z is the 4.3 kWh / 22 Nm electric motor. The Rizta S and the Rizta Z come with a 2.9 kWh battery pack and come with 123 km certified range on a single charge. The Rizta Z also comes with a larger 3.7 kWh battery pack that offers a certified range of 160 km on a single charge.

All the three models come with the same electric motor and offer a top speed of 80 kmph. All three variants also comes with a 15 degree gradability. The brand also claims that the Rizta electric scooter can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in just 4.7 second.

The brand also offers a 350W Ather Portable charger capable of charging the electric scooter from 0-100% SOC 8 hours 30 minutes for the Rizta S and Rizta Z (2.9 kWh model). The Rizta Z (3.7 kWh battery) comes with a Ather Duo 700W charger that offers a 0-100% SOC in 6 hours 10 minutes.

Ather Rizta – Features

The Ather Rizta comes with features the largest seat in its segment offering ample space for its rider and pillion. The Rizta also comes with a large floorboard for additional comfort. In addition to this, the Ather Rizta also comes with a 56-litre storage space which also includes a 34-litre underseat capacity, and an optional 22-litre Frunk as an accessory. The under seat storage also comes with an optional multi-purpose charger with an 18W power output.

Ather is also offering an extensive safety suite which includes Ather SkidControl which is the brand’s proprietary traction control system. Ather claims that SkidControl work on low friction surfaces such as gravel, sand, water, or oil. The SkidControl works with Ather Drive Controller which is the in-house developed motor control system. The scooter also gets FallSafe, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Theft & Tow Detect, and Find My Scooter. The Rizta scooter also gets MagicTwist, AutoHold, and Reverse Mode features.
