Ather and Magenta have announced their partnership to set up EV Charging Grids across the country. As a part of this MoU, India will get its first integrated charging across 2W, 3W and 4W at a single location. The move aims to accelerate the pace of expansion of public charging networks in the country.
Magenta Current Charging Network
The aim for FY23 is to set up around 11,000 chargers across 35 to 40 cities in India. Ather Energy customers will also benefit greatly from this. With more chargers in the network, Ather Energy will try to target newer regions, thus boosting its sales. The locations of the charger are decided in a way so as it will cater to the maximum of the customers. Magenta ChangeGrid is an upcoming EV charging company with lots of expectations.
The company has already formed collaborations with leading DISCOMS across the country. This helps streamline the process and also aids in establishing a proper EV charging ecosystem. The company has collaborated with Indore Municipal Corporation, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation. Along with this, Magenta is also setting up charging solutions in various hotels. As of today, Magenta has tie-ups with Fern and IBIS. The long term aim is to build a robust and well connected charging infrastructure for the country.
