Ather Energy has released its September 2022 sales report. For the given period, the EV maker sold a total of 7,435 units. This results in year-over-year growth of 247 per cent. In addition to this, the company also expanded its retail presence. Ather Energy recently inaugurated 4 new experience centres in Ranchi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Rajkot. With this, Ather Energy energy is now accessible to more customers. This, in turn, will attract more customers, thus commanding more sales volume.

Ather Working On A New Scooter?

The latest spy shots of an Ather electric scooter have surfaced on the internet. This could very well be a more affordable variant of the existing Ather 450 Plus Gen 3 and the 450X Gen3. In fact, rumours about Ather Energy coming up with a more affordable version of its electric scooter have been going around for quite some time. Thus with these spy shots, we can give more credibility to the above news.

The spy shots showed a test mule wearing heavy camouflage. But from the shape of the scooter’s body panels, we can assume that it will continue to look similar to the current Ather scooters. Visible mechanical bits changes, namely, the swingarm, brakes, and wheels, will too be similar to the current Ather models. The test mule also sports the new mirrors, which we saw with the Gen 3 models.

Aggressive Pricing, Lower Range

Ather Energy will not likely not skimp on any of the modern features that the current model has. Therefore, it will likely continue with the touchscreen display with navigation, Over-the-air updates, and much more. However, to price it more aggressively than the 450 Plus Gen 3, it will likely get a smaller battery and motor. With this, we can expect some drop in range as well as top speed.
