Ather Energy has announced the inauguration of its newest retail outlet in Malad, Mumbai. The new experience centre aims to meet the increasing demand for the 450 series in and around Mumbai city. Ather also confirmed that the new and improved Gen-3 variant of the flagship Ather 450X and 450 Plus is now available at this Ather Space.
Furthermore, the store will also allow customers to test ride and purchase the Ather 450 Plus and 450X from a convenient location in the city. The store’s main aim is to educate customers about every aspect of an electric vehicle and witness the engineering and mechanical efforts that go into each Ather scooter. Interested customers in the city can book test ride slots on the company’s website before visiting the experience centre to experience riding the scooter.
Demand High For Ather In Maharashtra
Maharashtra has been a chief contributor to Ather’s sales. Ather confirms to have witnessed a 7X growth in sales of its scooters in the past 12 months. Now, with the launch of the Gen-3 scooters, the aim is to capture a larger market share in the state. Ather Energy has also witnessed a significant sales rise over the past year. This defines the strong demand for its electric scooters. Booking orders for Ather’s flagship product are growing at 25 per cent quarter-on-quarter.
Ather Energy’s Charging Solutions
Ather is one of the few OEMs that is investing heavily in building charging infrastructure. The company has installed 24 charging points in Mumbai. And now plans are on to add more across the city. This will strengthen the charging network and also eliminate range anxiety. Ather has installed 60+ charging grids in Maharashtra state. As of today, there are currently 350+ charging stations across 40+ cities. The target is to install 5,000 fast chargers in the next three years.
Ather Gen-3 Scooters Are Here
Earlier this month, Ather launched the Gen-3 of the 450 series. With this update, Ather’s electric scooters get a battery pack of 3.7 kWh, broader rear-view mirrors, and wider tyres. With the improved TrueRange of 105 km and 85 km, respectively, the new Ather 450X Gen 3 and 450 Plus Gen 3 provide customers with the tried-and-tested performance of an Ather scooter and eliminate range anxiety. Ather also aims to capture a larger market share with the new 450 Gen-3 series by attracting customers who prefer a more extensive range. The ex-showroom price post the Fame II revision for the Ather 450X is INR 149,934 and INR 1,28,424 for the Ather 450 Plus in Mumbai.
