Ather Energy opens 3rd Experience centre in Bengaluru

Written by Akhil Dalvi

As a market leader in the electric two-wheeler space, Ather Energy has expanded its reach by inaugurating a new experience centre. To fulfil the strong consumer demand in Bengaluru, the brand opened its latest Ather Space outlet in Rajajinagar via BIA Ventures. This Ather Space outlet now marks the 3rd Experience Centre after launching its first two in Indiranagar and J.P Nagar. This Ather Space will also showcase the manufacturer’s flagship 450X e-scooter alongside its entry-level 450 Plus for interested customers.

About the Ather Space Centres

Ather Energy states that since its debut in Bengaluru back in 2018, Karnataka has been one of its largest markets. The Indian state has recorded a high rate of EV adoption, which showcases an encouragement of acceptance of electric two-wheelers. Additionally, Ather Energy has made its presence known across other cities in the south like Hubli, Mysore, and Belgaum. Ather Energy also stated that it intends to expand to other markets like Mangalore and Udupi in Karnataka.

Meanwhile, the new Ather Space will provide a unique ownership experience to customers along with complete service and support. The Experience Centre will also offer an opportunity for interested customers to learn about the different aspects of the products. Along with providing a complete overview via a stripped-out unit on display, the centre will also offer test drives. Customers can book the test ride slots of the e-scooter on the company’s website before visiting the experience centre.

Expansions Plans

Since its debut in the electric two-wheeler segment, Ather Energy has invested in building its very own charging infrastructure. To achieve this, the brand has signed an MoU with ESCOMs (Electric Supply Companies) of Karnataka to establish fast-charging technology. With the aim of setting up charging stations in 1,000 locations across the state, Ather intends to create an ecosystem.

Therefore, it will not only increase the amount of EVs in the state of Karnataka but also enhance adoption. So far, Ather has installed 58 charging grids in Karnataka and currently has 310 charging stations across 30 Indian cities. During the next three years, Ather Energy intends to install 5,000 fast chargers across the country for customers.
