Ather Energy has launched a new variant of its popular family scooter—the Rizta S with a 3.7 kWh battery pack. Priced at INR 1,37,047 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new model delivers an IDC-certified range of 159 km, making it the most capable Rizta yet in terms of distance per charge.
This launch comes on the heels of the Rizta crossing the 1 lakh unit sales milestone, a feat achieved within just a year of its debut in 2024. The Rizta now accounts for over 60% of Ather’s total sales, underlining its strong appeal among Indian families.
Design and practicality
Despite the larger battery, the Rizta S 3.7 kWh retains the same family-friendly design that defines the lineup. Key highlights include:
- 34-litre underseat storage, expandable by 22 litres with an optional Frunk
- One of the longest seats in the segment, designed for rider and pillion comfort
- Flat floorboard and ergonomic handlebar positioning for daily usability
The scooter is available in multiple colour options and continues to offer a clean, minimalist aesthetic that appeals to urban commuters.
Features and connectivity
The Rizta S 3.7 kWh is loaded with smart features, including:
- 7-inch DeepView display with turn-by-turn navigation
- AutoHold, Fall Safe, Emergency Stop Signal
- Tow and Theft Alerts, Find My Scooter
- Alexa Skills integration and OTA update support
It also connects to Ather’s Grid fast-charging network, which now spans over 3,900 points across India, and includes a home charging solution for overnight top-ups.
Warranty and ownership experience
Buyers can opt for Ather’s Eight70 warranty programme, which offers:
- 8 years or 80,000 km coverage
- Guaranteed minimum 70% battery health over the ownership period
The Rizta S 3.7 kWh is available for test rides and bookings across Ather’s retail network and online platform. Deliveries are expected to begin this month.
