Ather Energy adds its new showroom in Goa, thus making it the 17th Ather Experience centre in the country. Located at Porvorim, Pilerne, Goa, this dealership is now open for bookings and test rides. The recent growth of EVs in the market has set all the electric-mobility companies on their toes. Ather Energy, which was one of the early players in this segment, has been actively expanding its network. Currently, Ather Energy has its presence in multiple cities spread across the country. Earlier this year, the company added new centres at Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Trichy, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, Kozhikode, Indore, and Nashik.

Ather Charging Stations In Goa

Ather Grid, as the company calls its charging stations, has been installed at two locations in the state. One is at Porvorim, and another is at Panjim. The company has confirmed that they would add 8 to 10 more charging points by the end of this year. Ather will also support the customers with the installation of home charging solutions in their apartment buildings as well. Many customers are still anxious about the riding range of these electric scooters. And thus, a viable and vast charging network is quite crucial for the growth of e-mobility in the country.

Ather Energy’s Partnership With BLive

The company recently announced its partnership with BLive, the official EV Tourism partner of Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC). With this partnership, Ather aims to drive electric vehicle adoption in the state. A total of 5 charging stations have come up under this collaboration spread across Goa. And by the end of 2021, the plan is to set up a total of 15 charging stations across the state.

Goa State Government’s EV Initiatives

The state’s long-term goal is to achieve 30 per cent of its total vehicle registration to be electric vehicles by 2025. The current incentives for EVs include discounts of up to INR 30,000 for electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler buyers, no road tax, and registration fees on the purchase of EV 2-wheelers. In addition to this, the state government aims to convert all the commercial two-wheelers to EVs by the end of 2025. The Ather 450X retails at INR 1,45,129 (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, Ather 450 Plus has a sticker price of INR 1,26,119 (ex-showroom).
