Ather Energy might have not launched their premium electric scooters across India at the moment, but the brand is making calculated but right steps to ensure a perfect EV eco-system and rollout. Ather Energy has now introduced a new charging point which can be installed at home, and is available for all Ather scooter owners in Chennai and Bangalore at the moment. Ather is operation in retail sales and service only in these two cities for now.
The Ather Dot charging solution costs INR 1,800 which includes GST, installation charges, all necessary consumables and labour charges for having this fixed. For this price, the solution it provides is more than justified for having your Ather electric scooter easily charged. With this Ather Dot, the scooters can be protected from spike / surge in electrical supply and all of this can also be monitored via the mobile app. Ather Dot also comes with an auto cut-off feature to avoid over charging.
Ather currently retails the Ather 450 scooter for INR 1.31 lakh and Ather 340 scooter for INr 1.19 lakh (Chennai prices). For this price, the brand also provides 2 helmets.
Ather 450 is the brands flagship electric scooter with a riding range of 107 km as per IDC, 80 kmph top speed and has a 0-40 kmph sprint time of 3.9 seconds. The scooter comes with features such as park assist which allows the rider to reverse the scooter with the help of the throttle. The scooter features a 7″ touchscreen speedo console, alloy wheels, disc brakes, bluetooth connectivity, navigation, OTA updates, all LED lights, telescopic front forks, contoured seats, pillion grab rails, etc.
