India’s 1st intelligent electric scooter brand has opened its first Experience Center in West Bengal. Unveiled on 9th October 2021, the new Ather Space outlet is located at Sevoke Road, Siliguri, in association with SRIRS E-Ventures Pvt Ltd. As the 18th Experience Center in India, the new Ather Space will feature the 450 X and 450 plus for consumers.
The West Bengal government has introduced various initiatives to promote EV adoption. To register 10 lakh EVs by 2025, the government has established a dedicated electric vehicle (EV) cell. According to the government, the authorities will not apply road tax and registration fees on the purchase of EV two-wheelers. The state government has aimed to push for 1 lakh public charging stations in the coming years.
Ather Space
The new Ather Space offers a unique ownership experience along with complete service and support for owners. The retail store provides customers with an opportunity to learn about all aspects of the vehicle. This includes various parts of a stripped-out unit on display. Consumers can book test drive slots before they arrive at the experience centre via Ather Energy’s website. Ather has expanded itself across multiple cities in 2021, such as Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Trichy, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, Kozhikode, Indore, Nashik, Goa, and Mysore.
The company is one of the few OEMs to invest in building their own charging infrastructure by soon installing three fast-charging points. Ather has located the Ather Grid at Pradhan Nagar (Wood Apple Cafe), Chayan Para (Cindrella Hotel), and Sevoke Road (Ather Space). To provide easier access for Ather Grids for EV owners in Siliguri in key areas. Ather Energy aims to add another 8-10 charging points to Siliguri’s charging network providing smooth and stress-free rides for EV owners. The company provides customer assistance during the installation of home charging solutions for their apartments or buildings.

Priced at INR 1,45,129 (ex-showroom Kolkata) post the Fame 2 revision, the Ather 450X is available in 4 colour options. These include Grey, Green, and White, along with the limited-edition Series 1.
Ather 450X: Powertrain and Charging
Powered by a 2.9 kWh lithium-ion battery paired with a PMSM motor, the 450X produces 6kW of power. This enables the scooter to reach 40 kph in just 3.3 seconds, making it the quickest in the 125cc segment. Ather offers the 450X with three riding modes Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp, granting customers the choice of ride customization to suit their needs. With a charging rate of 1.5 km per minute, the Ather 450X is the quickest charging electric two-wheeler amongst rivals.
Ather 450X: Features HighlightsÂ
The scooter comes with a 4G SIM card and Bluetooth Connectivity, enabling riders to manage phone calls and music on the go. The 450X sports a 7-inch touchscreen dashboard powered by a Snapdragon Quad-Core processor, which has a colour depth of 16M. It uses an Android Open Source to offer Google Maps navigation and onboard diagnostics. Other unique features of the 450X include Over-the-air updates, Auto Indicator off, and Guide-me-home lights.
