Aprilia India has announced the launch of the Tuono 457 in the third week of February 2025. The bike will be manufactured at Piaggio’s plant in Baramati, Maharashtra.
Expected Powertrain and Chassis
The Tuono 457 is the naked streetfighter version of the RS 457. It features the same 457 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 47.5 bhp and 43.5 Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a quick-shifter will be offered as an option. The frame, swingarm, suspension, and brakes are the same as on the RS 457. The streetfighter styling, sharp lines, and muscular stance make the Tuono 457 a desirable motorcycle.
Tuono 457 – Other Details
The bike will be available in two colors: red and grey. The expected price is around INR 4 lakh (ex-showroom), making it more affordable than the RS 457. The Tuono 457 will go up against rivals like the KTM 390 Duke, Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, and TVS Apache RTR 310.
The Tuono 457 gets a single-piece handlebar as opposed to clip-on handlebars on the RS 457. It will carry over the RS 457’s electronic suite, including a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and three riding modes that adjust ABS, traction control, and throttle sensitivity.
The launch event is expected to take place on February 17 or 18, 2025. The bike will be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The new 457 is likely to attract a lot of attention due to its unique design and performance features. Especially after the success of the RS 457.
