All Tata Safari variants get ventilated seats in 1st & 2nd row

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Tata adds a nifty feature to the Safari. As confirmed by the manufacturer, Tata Safari’s top-spec trim XZ+/XZA+ will now get ventilated seats for 1st and 2nd-row. To clarify; the 2nd row ventilated function is only applicable with the 6-seater configuration. With this addition, Tata Safari gets even more attractive. This is not the first time that the Safari moniker is getting this feature. We had earlier seen that Tata did add this 1st and 2nd-row ventilation exclusively for the Safari Gold Edition. But now, customers getting the top-spec trims can also enjoy this useful feature.

Importance Of Ventilated Seats?

For the name, it might sound like more of a gimmick rather than a utility. But, let us make it very clear that given India’s scorching summer, ventilated seats are very effective. Especially in humid areas, where sweating is a major issue, ventilated seats do come in handy. And for a mass-market car to have 2nd row ventilated seats is quite commendable.

Because, earlier we had seen ventilated seats only for the front passengers, that too by a very few car makers. And this 2nd-row ventilation was a feature only available in the luxury high-end car. But, Tata Motors has done a pretty great job in bringing this feature to this segment. We hope other manufacturers also pick up this and at least include this feature as an optional kit in their offerings.

The Debate Of XUV700 or Tata Safari?

With the bookings crossing their limits for the XUV700, customers have not yet written off the Safari. Yes, the sales figures are very contrasting for both the SUVs, with XUV700 leading by a wide margin. But, that does not mean Safari is a slouch by any means. Recent reports claimed that the waiting period for the XUV700 has now crossed 84 weeks in a few cities. And hence more customers are now looking towards the Safari.

Tata Motor’s flagship product is a perfect overall package to keep the customer happy most of the time. Yes, in terms of features, Safari does score less than the XUV700, but not to mention the massive brand value of the Safari nameplate that you get with the 3-row SUV.
