Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has opened pre-bookings for its highly anticipated 4th Generation Dzire. The new model aims to build on the Dzire’s reputation as India’s highest-selling compact sedan.
Modern Design and Advanced Features
The 4th Generation Dzire boasts a modern design philosophy that aims to appeal to a broad audience. Key features include an updated front and rear fascia, sleek lines, and contemporary styling elements. The interior has been revamped to enhance comfort and convenience, with an advanced infotainment system, climate control, and multiple safety features, including airbags and ABS with EBD.
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Dzire will be equipped with the same 1.2-liter, three-cylinder Z-series naturally aspirated petrol engine as the Swift, producing 81 bhp and 111.7 Nm of peak torque. It will be available with a choice of two transmissions: a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT, mirroring the Swift’s options. Maruti Suzuki is also expected to introduce a CNG variant of the Dzire shortly after its launch.
Market Position and Legacy
The Dzire has been a significant player in the compact sedan segment since its launch in 2008, winning the trust of over 27 lakh customers. The new generation model aims to continue this legacy by providing an exceptional vehicle that meets modern expectations. The competitive pricing strategy, combined with Maruti Suzuki’s extensive dealer network and strong after-sales support, is expected to bolster the Dzire’s market position.
