Audi has officially unveiled the third-generation Q3, bringing significant upgrades in design, technology, and powertrain options. The premium compact SUV, which has sold over two million units globally, now features mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants, making it more efficient and future-ready.

Design and exterior updates

The 2025 Audi Q3 sports a more muscular stance, with:

  • A wider Singleframe grille, flanked by sharper LED headlights.
  • Aerodynamic refinements, improving efficiency with a drag coefficient of 0.30.
  • Digital OLED taillights, offering customizable light signatures.

Audi has also introduced micro-LED technology in its Matrix LED headlights, enhancing visibility and adaptive functionality.

Inside, the Q3 adopts Audi’s “digital stage” concept, featuring:

  • An 11.9-inch digital cockpit and 12.8-inch MMI touchscreen.
  • AI-powered Audi Assistant, responding to voice commands.
  • Recycled upholstery materials, including Econyl (recycled nylon from fishing nets).
  • Optional Sonos premium sound system, delivering 420W of immersive audio.

Powertrain and hybrid options

The Q3 lineup includes multiple engine choices, such as:

  • 1.5L TFSI mild-hybrid (150 hp) with cylinder deactivation.
  • TDI diesel (150 hp) for long-distance efficiency.
  • Plug-in hybrid (Q3 e-hybrid) with 272 hp, offering 119 km of electric range.

The PHEV variant supports 50 kW DC fast charging, reaching 80% charge in under 30 minutes.

Audi has revamped the Q3’s suspension, offering adaptive dampers and progressive steering. Key driver aids include:

  • Adaptive cruise assist, supporting lane changes at speeds up to 210 km/h.

  • Trained Parking, memorizing custom maneuvers.
  • Digital rearview mirror and 360-degree cameras.

India launch and expected pricing

Audi plans to launch the new Q3 in India by late 2025, with bookings expected to open soon. The SUV will compete with BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Volvo XC40. It is expected to be priced between INR 50 to 60 lakh.
