French mobility startup ÆMotion has revealed a radical new take on urban commuting—a leaning four-wheeled electric vehicle that blends the agility of a motorcycle with the safety and comfort of a car. Designed for congested city streets, this futuristic machine can lean up to 35 degrees into corners and filter through traffic, all while keeping the rider fully enclosed from the elements.

Design: Compact, Enclosed, and Cleverly Engineered

Unlike traditional motorcycles or scooters, ÆMotion’s creation features a fully enclosed cabin, offering better crash protection and weather shielding. The narrow body allows it to slip between lanes, while the leaning chassis ensures it handles curves with confidence.

Inside, the vehicle seats two occupants with four-point harnesses, adding a layer of safety rarely seen in two-wheelers. The design prioritizes urban practicality, with a footprint small enough for tight parking spots and a turning radius suited for city maneuvering.

Powertrain and Range Options

The EV is powered by either:

  • Removable batteries with a 43-mile range, ideal for short city hops
  • Or a larger fixed battery offering up to 125 miles on a single charge

Top speed is rated at just over 70 mph, making it suitable for both city and limited highway use.

Licensing and Accessibility

In France, the vehicle can be operated with a standard B-class car license, provided the driver completes a seven-hour training course. This makes it accessible to a broader audience, including those who may not hold a motorcycle license.

Pricing and Availability

While the official name and price are yet to be confirmed, reports suggest ÆMotion will offer the vehicle via a leasing model, starting at around €200 per month. The first batch is expected to hit French roads later this year, with broader European availability under consideration
