Reports suggest that Fiat India is planning to launch the Abarth performance variants of the Punto Evo and Avventura in 2015.
The Abarth Punto and Abarth Avventura are rumoured to hit the Indian streets by Q3 in 2015, and will be priced in the range of Rs. 9 lakh.
Powering both the Punto Evo & Avventura Abarth variants will be a 1.4L, MultiAir, T-Jet, 4-cylinder petrol motor producing 133 BHP of power @ 6,000 RPM and 206 Nm of torque @ 1,750 RPM. Cars are expected to perform a 0-100 kmph stint in 8.5 seconds with a top speed of 195 kmph.
This new engine although plonked in an Abarth model in India, is put to use on regular Punto models in the international markets. In the international markets, you also get a 180 PS variant of this 1.4L petrol motor.
If this news is true, Fiat fans will surely have something to look up to in 2015.
