Toyota Kirloskar Motors has announced the launch of the first regional stockyard in Guwahati that will ensure an efficient distribution system across the region. According to the brand, the new regional stockyard will reduce the delivery time from the current 13 days down to a maximum of 2 days even for the further most dealer in the North East states benefitting customer with the reduced waiting period.
The new stockyard in Guwahati not only reduces the distribution time it also improves the efficiency, reduces inventory cost and enhances the turn around time for the dealer’s working capital. It also allows the dealers to focus on core areas of sales and after-sales service more efficiently and according to the customer’s requirements.
Toyota’s current product portfolio includes the all-new Urban Cruiser, the premium Glanza hatchback, the much popular Innova Crysta MPV and Fortuner SUV, a fully loaded sedan, Toyota Yaris, the self-charging hybrid vehicles, Camry and Vellfire in the luxury segment. For the North East, Toyota opened two new 3S (sales, service and spare parts) outlets – one in
Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh and the other in Imphal in Manipur. The brand has also commenced services with the new Pro-Service centre in Jorhat in Assam.
The brand has also announced that it will be opening the Pro Service centre in 87 new locations across the country to cater to the increase in the number of Toyota vehicles in cities and towns which so far did not have Toyota service centres. The Pro Service Centres are equipped to service all Toyota vehicles and provides services such as free service, regular paid periodic maintenance, minor general repairs and minor body and paint repairs as per Toyota standards.
To ensure that the Pro Service centres meet Toyota’s global standards, the service centres will receive spares directly from TKM along with technical and operational support. The Pro Service centres are also free to service non-Toyota vehicles. Currently, the Pro Service centres are operational in Narnaul (Haryana), Nagaur (Rajasthan), Jorhat (Assam), Kharagpur and Asansol (West Bengal), Morbi, Patan and Palanpur (Gujarat).
