One of a kind, the Audi RS7 Sportback has been launched in India at prices starting from INR 1.94 crore ex-showroom. Potential buyers can customize the car further for an additional cost, and the RS7 is a CBU import for the Indian market. The 2020 Audi RS7 now comes with a new wide-body design language and the distinctive sloping coupe-like roofline which guarantees a second look. This is the 2nd generation Audi RS7 which is now available on sale.
Powering the 2020 Audi RS7 is a 4.0L, V8, twin-turbo, TFSi petrol motor producing 600 HP of power and 800 Nm of torque. The new RS7 can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed limited to 250 kmph. If owners wish, the top speed can be bumped up to 280 kmph with the dynamic package and to 305 kmph with the RS dynamic plus package. For driving modes, the RS7 comes with the Audi drive select and it also allows for adjusting the engine sound from the motor. The 4.0L engine is also coupled to a 48V mild hybrid system which can recover close to 12 kW of power and store it in the lithium-ion battery pack. The RS7 also has cylinder deactivation technology which allows the car to be driven as a 4-cylinder model to maximise efficiency with an easy throttle.
The Audi RS7 gets an 8-speed automatic gearbox with Quattro permanent AWD system along with launch control. The transmission can deliver nearly 70% of the power to the front wheels and 85% of the power to the rear wheels depending on the traction available. Also the wheels that need power the most get it when in cornering thanks to the wheel-selective torque. The RS7 rides on adaptive air suspension with 3 modes to deliver either comfort or sporty dynamics. All-wheel steering can also be added to the RS7 at an optional extra cost. Stopping power comes from RS ceramic brakes with the dynamic pack and more optional goodies can be asked for.
