BMW Motorrad has introduced a new naked street superbike in India which is the R 1250 R roadster model. This bike has been priced at INR 15,95,000 ex-showroom and rivals the likes of Ducati Monster 1200, MV Agusta Brutale 1090, Indian FTR 1200, etc. The BMW Motorrad R 1250 R is available in Black Storm metallic and Pollux metallic matte shades.

Powering this R 1250 R is a 1254cc, air/liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, flat-twin motor with DOHC producing 136 HP of power 2 7750 RPM and 143 Nm of torque @ 6250 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox. BMW Motorrad claims a top speed of over 200 kmph and a fuel efficiency of 4.75 L / 100 km. Another highlight of this BMW R 1250 R is the shaft drive technology.

The BMW R 1250 R rides on a two-section chassis with a bolt on rear subframe and the engine being used as a stressed member. The bike rides on a 45mm USD front fork and a rear monoshock with 140mm travel on both sides. The naked superbike has a seat height of 820mm in stock setup and can vary between 760mm to 840mm depending on the accessories. However, this is not a light bike by any means weighing at 239 kg ready to ride.

Standard equipment on the BMW R 1250 R includes dual-channel ABS, stability control, rain & road riding modes, TFT digital instrument console with bluetooth connectivity, hill start assist, on-board computer, heated grips and a power socket.

This Boxer engine on the BMW Motorrad R 1250 R is sure to add a lot of character to your daily ride. Given the upright riding stance, this motorcycle will offer the right balance for riding in the city and also out on fast-paced weekend runs. There are plenty of customisation options as well should you wish to spend more money on this already expensive naked roadster and make it even more exclusive.
