As reported earlier, CF Moto is planning its India launch around July 2019 with three to four products which includes – 300NK, 650NK, 650GT and 650MT. The CF Moto line-up is expected to come via the CKD route to keep the prices in check and they are likely to be assembled at the brand’s Indian partner of operations, AMW Motorcycle’s facility.
According to the spied images, the motorcycle was completely camouflaged and had distinct sport tourer styling with a tall windscreen, fairing with a guard that protects the fairing and the radiator sides, LED headlights and daytime running lights, fairing mounted turn indicator lamps, ergonomically designed scooped seats, a single handlebar for upright positioning, knuckle protectors on the handlebars, centre-set footpegs, a large sculpted fuel tank, etc. The motorcycle is also expected to come with touring equipment such as saddle stays and top box mounts, which are likely to come as optional accessories.
The CF Moto 650 line-up is expected to be powered by a 649cc, parallel twin, liquid-cooled 8-valve, DOHC engine with electronic fuel-injection from Bosch and the engines are likely to come in different states of tune on the different variants, tuned via the EFI system. On the 650MT the engine belts out 70.7 PS of power @ 8750 RPM and 62 Nm of torque @ 7000 RPM, on the 650GT it produces 61.1 PS of power @ 9000 RPM and 58.5 Nm of torque @ 7000 RPM and on the 650NK the engine is tuned to produce 61.1 PS of power @ 9000 RPM and 56 Nm of torque @ 7000 RPM.
In the mechanical department, the CF Moto 650MT comes with an upside-down telescopic front fork, a monoshock on the rear swingarm, hydraulically operated twin disc brakes on the front and a single disc at the rear. The motorcycle also gets a large 18-litre fuel tank for long distance highway touring and alloy wheels.
The brand initially plans to open two dealerships, in Bengaluru and Hyderabad with more dealerships being planned to be set up in five major cities.
