Three passionate riders Deepak Kamath, Avinash PS and Deepak Gupta have completed a 51,000 km expedition from Tuktoyaktuk in the Arctic circle to the Antarctic on their Bajaj Dominar without any breakdowns. It is the World’s First Polar Odyssey by an Indian motorcycle and the rider’s and their bikes covered 15 countries and 3 continents in 99 days time, which comes to an average of 515 km per day.

The Dominar Polar Odyssey commenced from Anchorage to Tuktoyatak in the Arctic Circle, spanning the entire length and breadth of North and South America and ending at Ushuaia in Argentina, and then further into Antarctica.

The entire expedition was completed without a single breakdown and no support team was available for the riders. The riders and their Dominar went through one of the world’s harshest weather conditions and terrains such as heavy snow, rains, slush and loose gravel across Alaska, snow blizzards across Pikes Peak in Colorado, trials and off road section in Baja, Mexico and the man and machine faced the bone-chilling minus 22-degree centigrade temperatures of the Antarctic to Death Valley, USA which is the hottest place on earth with a temperature of 54-degrees centigrade.

The team also encountered one of the most dangerous roads in the world like the James Dalton Highway in the Arctic Circle, USA, the Dempster Highway in the Arctic circle, Canada, the Death Road of Bolivia and the Pan-American road in the Atacama Desert, Chile among others.

The Dominar Polar Odyssey covered 3 continents – North America, South America and the Antartic which includes 15 countries – Canada, USA, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador,Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.

Bajaj has also joined hands with Autologue design to make touring accessories for the motorcycle which will be sold at Bajaj dealerships.
