Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Destini 125 at a starting price of INR 80,450 (ex-showroom). The scooter is available in three variants: VX, ZX, and ZX+. The Destini 125 aims to redefine the 125cc scooter segment with its new design and features.

Destini 125 Design

The Destini 125 features a neo-retro design with copper-toned chrome accents, LED daytime running lights, and signature H-shaped LED tail lamps. The front fascia includes a projector headlamp and a digital-analog speedometer, while the ZX and ZX+ variants come with a fully digital display with Bluetooth connectivity.

Powertrain and Features

The scooter is powered by a 125cc air-cooled, 4-stroke engine that produces 9 bhp at 7000 rpm and 10.4 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. It boasts an impressive mileage of 59 kmpl, thanks to Hero’s i3S (Idle Stop-Start System) technology. The Destini 125 also features auto-cancel winkers, a mobile charging port, and a spacious legroom for enhanced comfort.

The scooter is equipped with a 190mm front disc brake and a single rear drum brake for improved stopping power. The ZX and ZX+ variants come with diamond-cut alloy wheels, while the VX variant features cast drum wheels. The Destini 125 is available in five colors: Eternal White, Regal Black, Groovy Red, Cosmic Blue, and Mystique Magenta.

The new scooter competes with the Suzuki Access 125, TVS Jupiter 125, Honda Activa 125 and the Suzuki Burgman Street 125. With these successful models on sale, the Destini has its work cut out for itself. However, all the aforementioned scooters have not received an update for a while and Hero has a chance to rake up sales till these are refreshed with their new models.
