Motorcycle enthusiasts have a new adventure bike to look forward to as Benelli unveils the TRK 902 Xplorer. This rugged middleweight adventure bike is designed to take on some of the biggest names in the segment, including the KTM 890 Adventure and BMW F900GS.
Benelli TRK 902 Xplorer: Design and Features
The TRK 902 Xplorer boasts a retro-inspired design with modern touches. It features a semi-fairing, round LED headlight, and clip-on handlebars for a sporty riding stance. The bike comes with a pillion seat cowl, completing its café racer look.
Under the hood, the TRK 902 Xplorer is powered by a 904cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine. This engine produces around 99 bhp and 66.4 lb-ft of torque. The bike is equipped with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slip clutch for smoother shifting.
The TRK 902 Xplorer features fully adjustable 50mm USD forks upfront and a mono-shock with adjustable rebound and spring preload at the rear. With 200mm of suspension travel at both ends, the bike is ready for off-road adventures. The tyres used are the proven Pirelli Scorpion Rally tyres.
For stopping power, the bike is equipped with twin 320mm discs gripped by Brembo four-piston monobloc calipers. It also features dual-channel ABS and an off-road mode for enhanced stability.
Technology and Connectivity
The TRK 902 Xplorer comes with a 7-inch TFT display, offering essential ride information. It also includes Bluetooth connectivity and navigation, making it easy to stay connected on the go. The bike has a 22-litre fuel capacity and an electronically adjustable screen for added convenience.
Market Impact
Benelli has designed the TRK 902 Xplorer to appeal to adventure bike enthusiasts. With its rugged build and advanced features, the bike is expected to be a strong contender in the market. The global launch is likely to take place next year, although it may not be available in India immediately. We do expect to get a glimpse of it at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo.
