Launch Timeline:

It is still unknown whether the motorcycle will be introduced under the Zero or Vida. However, the formal launch of this new electric motorcycle is anticipated to occur within the next two to three years, as it is now in the advanced stage of development. It’s evident that the company intends to establish itself in the high-end electric bike market, where the Ultraviolette F77 is now available. However, the Ultraviolette F77 hasn’t attracted many customers and in solution to this the company is currently launching it in global market.

Hero MotoCorp and Zero Motorcycle collaboration for a new electric bike:

Hero MotoCorp is the largest two wheeler manufacturer in the globe and this partnership has come into existence by looking at the Hero MotoCorp’s production and marketing capabilities and Zero Motorcycles’ experience in powertrain development and electric motorcycles.

Hero MotoCorp has put a lot of significance on high-end motorcycles in recent years. In order to sell these bikes, it has also opened a chain of new outlets. The company has concentrated on providing a positive sales experience to the customers with the e-scooter Vida as well. With Vida, the company is planning to enhance its brand presence and for the same it 203 point of contacts that includes 180 dealers in the 116 cities. Given that Hero hasn’t really established itself in the performance petrol bike market, it will be interesting to see how it carves out a niche for itself in the performance electric bike market.
