Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) might have an ambitious plans to launch five new big bikes in the Indian market by early 2025. An image of a slide apparently from a dealer presentation has been doing rounds of the internet. The image includes the CB650R, CBR650R, CB750 Hornet, CB1000 Hornet, and the adventure-style X-ADV scooter.
New Big Bikes
- CB650R and CBR650R: These models are sport-touring bikes powered by a 648cc inline-four engine, delivering 95 PS and 63 Nm of torque. Both bikes feature the latest 2025 iterations, equipped with an e-clutch system for smoother gear shifts and enhanced riding comfort.
- CB750 Hornet: This street-naked bike is powered by a 755cc parallel-twin engine, producing 90.5 PS and 75 Nm of torque. It competes with popular models like the Triumph Street Triple S and Aprilia Tuono 660. The CB750 Hornet offers a sporty riding experience with agile handling, making it ideal for city streets and weekend rides.
- CB1000 Hornet: Replacing the retro-inspired CB1000R, the CB1000 Hornet features a 999cc inline-four engine derived from the CBR1000RR Fireblade. With an output of 152 PS and 104 Nm of torque, this model is a powerful contender in the liter-class naked bike category. It promises exhilarating performance for experienced riders seeking a thrilling ride.
- X-ADV: This adventure-style scooter gets a 745cc parallel-twin engine generating 54 PS and 68 Nm of torque. The X-ADV is an off-road scooter, featuring upside-down (USD) forks, spoked wheels, and a robust frame. It combines the practicality of a scooter with the ruggedness of an adventure bike, making it versatile for both urban commutes and weekend adventures.
Launch and Pricing
These new models will be introduced as Completely Built Units (CBUs) and sold through Honda’s exclusive Big Wing dealerships. Given their premium features and imported status, the bikes will come with a bigger price tag. The bikes could be showcased at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo.
