EICMA 2024! Hero MotoCorp reveals Xtreme 250R, new sports naked bike

Hero MotoCorp has been on a spree of unveiling new products at EICMA 2024. After the Karizma XMR 250, the Xtreme 250R was revealed, a new addition to their lineup of sports naked bikes. This latest model promises to bring a new option in the highly competitive 250 cc street naked segment.

Engine and Performance

The Hero Xtreme 250R is powered by a 249cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which produces 27 bhp and 23 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, ensuring a smooth and responsive ride. The motorcycle features a fuel injection system, providing better fuel efficiency and performance.

Design and Features

The design of the Xtreme 250R is both aggressive and eye-catching. It boasts a sharp front fascia with a full LED headlamp, a muscular fuel tank with extensions, and a sleek tail section. The split seats and the upright handlebars ensure a comfortable riding position, making it suitable for both city commutes and weekend rides.

One of the key highlights of the Xtreme 250R is its advanced technology. The bike comes with a full-color TFT display that offers smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and various ride modes. The display is also compatible with the Hero Ride Guide app, allowing riders to track their rides and access other useful information.

The suspension setup of the Xtreme 250R includes USD front forks and a monoshock at the rear, providing a balanced and stable ride. The braking system features petal discs at both ends with dual-channel ABS, ensuring enhanced safety and control.

Launch timeline and Market Impact

Hero MotoCorp aims to position the Xtreme 250R as a competitor to other popular 250 cc sports naked bikes, such as the Yamaha FZ25 and the KTM 250 Duke. The bike is expected to be launched in India by mid-2025, with an estimated price of around INR 1.8 lakh (ex-showroom).
