Isuzu has launched a new D-Max Ambulance in the Indian market with a price tag of INR 26 lakh ex-showroom. The Isuzu D-Max Ambulance is custom built for medical transport use. For this, the brand has incorporated the Isuzu D-Max Ambulance with equipment specific to medical use. It also comes with provisions for the patients as well as a safe and comfortable environment for the doctors and attendants.
Medical Features
The Isuzu D-Max Ambulance comes with provisions for external storage of Oxygen cylinder, and has a dedicated Oxygen delivery system. The Ambulance also gets an Oxygen manifold source as well as hoses and an humidifier system. In addition to this, the Isuzu D-Max Ambulance comes with an Autoloading stretcher cum trolley system.
Optionally, an air conditioned patient compartment is also available on the D-Max Ambulance. The Ambulance also gets a foot operated wash basin and has a provision for customizable storage compartments. The brand also revealed that a wide range of optional medical equipment can also be accommodated on the D-Max Ambulance. Thanks to this, the Isuzu D-Max Ambulance is ready to handle basic emergency situations.
Comfort
Built on the iGRIP platform, the D-Max Ambulance features a shorter wheelbase and also gets a double wishbone suspension which claims to reduce the vibration & harshness and increases the comfort of the patient. Even with a short wheelbase compared to the standard D-Max, the Ambulance gets ample room for paramedics to work efficiently. Also, the Isuzu D-Max comes with ergonomic seating enhancing comfort for the paramedics.
Powertrain & Safety
Powering the Isuzu D-Max Ambulance is a 1.9-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 161 Bhp of power and 360 Nm of torque that offers a 0-70 kmph sprint in 11.9 seconds. The Ambulance also comes with mandatory features such as warning lights, flashers, lights and PA system. Safety features include a seat belt warning for driver & co-driver, dual airbags for driver and co-driver, intrusion protection beam for the cabin, fire-extinguisher and more.
