BMW Motorrad has unveiled the 2025 iterations of its popular C 400 GT and C 400 X premium scooters, bringing a host of updates that enhance both performance and rider experience. These scooters, known for their blend of practicality and style, now come with several new features that make them even more appealing to urban commuters and touring enthusiasts alike.
Engine and Performance
Both the C 400 GT and C 400 X are powered by a 350cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 34 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 35.25 Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm. This engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), ensuring smooth and efficient power delivery. The scooters have been updated to meet Euro5+ emissions standards, making them more environmentally friendly.
Advanced Rider Aids
One of the significant updates for 2025 is the inclusion of lean-sensitive ABS Pro and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) as standard features. These systems enhance safety by providing better stability and control, especially in challenging riding conditions. Additionally, both models now come with Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) and Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR), which help maintain stability during sudden deceleration.
Design and Features
The C 400 GT and C 400 X have received subtle design tweaks to keep them fresh and modern. The C 400 GT features a new manually adjustable windshield and an optional 10.25-inch TFT display, up from the standard 6.5-inch screen. The GT also offers an Exclusive trim in Diamondwhite metallic, which includes bronze-colored rims and a slightly tinted windshield.
The C 400 X, on the other hand, sports a more rugged look with a redesigned front end and a bulkier “beak” below the headlights. It is available in a new Rugged model variant with alamata metallic matt bodywork, red rims, and a red/black seat.
Practicality and Storage
Both scooters have improved underseat storage, with the C 400 GT offering more luggage capacity and an optional 43.5L top case that supports twice the weight of the previous model1. The GT also includes floor lighting that projects the BMW logo onto the ground, adding a touch of luxury.
We did get the previous version of the C 400 GT in India however, it is still unclear if one or both of these will make it to the Indian shores. Even if they do, they will come with a heavy price tag as they will take the CBU route.
