Tata Motors has launched the new Nexon Turbo iCNG in the Indian market, which is the country’s first turbocharged CNG powered SUV. The Nexon Turbo iCNG comes with Tata’s latest safety features and carries over the 5-Star GNCAP rated architecture from the standard Nexon. This makes the Tata Nexon the first and only car in India to be available in four different fuel options – Petrol, Diesel, CNG and Electric. Technical Specifications

Powering the Tata Nexon Turbo iCNG is a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 100 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. The engine comes matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox only, and there is not AMT gearbox available as of now. Even with CNG tanks, the Nexon Turbo iCNG comes with 321-litres of boot space thanks to dual CNG tanks. The SUV also comes with features such as direct start in CNG mode, and automatic switching between petrol and CNG thanks to a single ECU setup.

Key Features

The Tata Nexon Turbo iCNG comes with features such as 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display by Harman as well as a 10.25-inch fully digital instruments. The Nexon Turbo iCNG also comes with leatherette ventilated seats. Tata has also added a panoramic sunroof in the update. The iCNG system comes with state of the art safety technologies such as leak detection, fire protection device (Fire Extinguisher), thermal incident protection, rear impact protection and more ensuring peace of mind for all the occupants.

Price & Variants

The Tata Nexon Turbo iCNG is available in a total of 8 variants which the brand calls Personas – Smart, Smart+, Smart+ S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative+, and Fearless+ PS. Prices start at INR 8.99 lakh ex-showroom and goes upto INR 14.59 lakh ex-showroom.
