Written by News Team

Porsche has unveiled the exclusive 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition in India, priced at INR 4.05 crore (ex-showroom). This limited-edition model commemorates the 50th anniversary of the iconic 911 Turbo, first introduced in 1974. With only 1,974 units available globally, this model is a collector’s dream.

Performance and Specifications

At the heart of the 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition is a 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine, delivering an impressive 650 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This powerhouse enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, with a top speed of 330 km/h. These figures are more than double the power output of the original 930 Turbo, showcasing Porsche’s advancements in engineering over the past five decades.

Design and Features

The exterior design pays homage to Porsche’s racing legacy, featuring graphics inspired by the 911 RSR Turbo concept. Unique Turbo badging, special vinyl decals, and exclusive Turbonite accents enhance its heritage appeal. For those seeking an even more retro vibe, the Heritage Design Package offers additional touches such as Sport Classic wheels, the original 1964 Porsche crest on the bonnet, and an Aventurine Green Metallic paint option paired with white satin graphics.

Inside, the cabin is a blend of classic and modern elements. The seats and doors are adorned with tartan-patterned upholstery, reminiscent of the 1970s. The Heritage Design Package further enhances the retro aesthetic with green-accented instrument dials and a matching Sport Chrono clock. This combination of vintage charm and contemporary technology makes the 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition a unique offering in the luxury sports car market.

Exclusivity and Pricing

Priced at INR 4.05 crore, the 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition commands a significant premium over other models in the 911 lineup. It is over INR 2 crore more expensive than the 911 Carrera and INR 1.26 crore more than the Carrera 4 GTS. However, for collectors and enthusiasts, the exclusivity and heritage embodied in this model justify the higher price tag.

Special Edition Watch

In addition to the car, Porsche Design has created an exclusive watch for buyers of the 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition. Limited to 1,974 pieces, this special-edition chronograph mirrors the car’s design cues with a Turbonite rotor and leather straps crafted from the same material as the car’s interior. This watch is a perfect complement to the car, making it a must-have for any Porsche aficionado.
