BYD (Build Your Dreams) has officially opened bookings for its latest electric MPV, the eMAX 7, in India. The new electric MPV will be available with special pre-booking offers. Here are the details.
Booking Details and Launch Offers
Starting from September 21, 2024, customers can reserve their BYD eMAX 7 with an initial payment of INR 51,000 at BYD-authorized outlets across India. The company has announced that the first 1,000 customers who book the eMAX 7 by October 8, 2024, and take delivery by March 25, 2025, will receive a complimentary 7 kW or 3 kW charger. This limited-time offer is part of BYD’s strategy to incentivize early adopters and promote the adoption of electric vehicles in the country.
Design and Features
The BYD eMAX 7, also known as the M6 in global markets, is a generational update from the previous e6 MPV. It features a sleek design with new LED headlamps, a redesigned front bumper, and slim LED taillights connected by an LED light bar. The interior has been upgraded with a larger central touchscreen, a 3-spoke steering wheel, and a panoramic sunroof.
Performance and Technology
Equipped with BYD’s advanced Blade Battery and an 8-in-1 electric powertrain, the eMAX 7 promises enhanced performance and efficiency. The vehicle is designed to offer a longer driving range, making it suitable for both urban commutes and long-distance travel. The battery capacity and range will be announced on launch day. The MPV also includes several safety features and intelligent systems aimed at enhancing the driving experience and ensuring passenger safety.

Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, stated, “The BYD eMAX 7 represents our continued focus on electric vehicle innovation and meeting the needs of Indian families. It combines design, performance, and efficiency with sustainable technology, positioning it as a strong contender in the electric MPV market”.
BYD has sold over 2.3 million new energy passenger vehicles globally in 2024, with a presence in 94 countries. The company is celebrating 11 years in the electric vehicle segment in India.
