Isuzu Motors India has introduced a new variant to its D-MAX range. The new D-MAX 1.7 Single Cab Cab-Chassis Std variant is priced at an attractive introductory price of INR 9,99,990 (ex-showroom, Chennai) and is now available for bookings.

The D-MAX 1.7 Single Cab Cab-Chassis Std variant is designed to offer flexibility and versatility, making it an ideal choice for various industries such as perishables, FMCG, food and catering services, and last-mile delivery. This new variant is powered by a 2.5-liter ISUZU 4JA1 4-cylinder engine, known for its durability and efficiency. The engine puts out 78 hp of peak power and 176 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The vehicle boasts an aerodynamic exterior that gives it a bold and aggressive look. Inside, the D-MAX features high-quality fabric upholstery and height-adjustable seat belts, ensuring comfort for the driver and passengers. The Multi-Information Display (MID) cluster, equipped with a Gear Shift Indicator (GSI), helps drivers optimize fuel efficiency and manage torque effectively.
Safety Features
The new D-MAX variant includes front and rear crumple zones, a cross car front beam, door side intrusion, a collapsible steering column, and underbody steel protection for the drivetrain. Additionally, the Brake Override System (BOS) enhances safety by cutting power to the engine during panic braking situations.
Market Position and Competition
The new D-MAX variant is set to compete directly with Tata’s Yodha in the commercial vehicle segment. Priced competitively, it offers businesses a reliable and versatile option to meet their specific operational needs.
