Mahindra has finally launched the Thar Roxx and revealed prices for all the variants. Touted as ‘THE’ SUV, the Thar Roxx is set to disrupt the segment with its striking design, superior off-road capabilities, and a host of advanced features that cater to both adventure enthusiasts and luxury seekers alike.
Head-Turning Design
The bold front grille, complemented by Bi-LED projector headlamps and C-shaped DRLs, ensures the Thar Roxx stands out in any environment. The classic Thar design is maintained with a long hood, upright cabin, and short overhangs, providing exceptional approach and departure angles that are critical for off-road adventures.
Angular wheel arches, rugged cladding, and R19 alloy wheels shod with 255/60 All Terrain tires further enhance its commanding road presence. The vehicle’s signature side-hinged split rear tailgate, complete with an externally-mounted spare wheel, adds to its practicality and rugged appeal. Available in seven striking colors, including Deep Forest and Stealth Black, the Thar Roxx offers a palette that matches its bold persona.
The All-New M_GLYDE Platform
Underpinning the Thar Roxx is Mahindra’s all-new M_GLYDE platform, engineered to deliver a smooth and refined ride both on and off the road. This platform is designed for superior handling and class-leading dynamics, making the Thar ROXX as comfortable on city streets as it is on challenging terrains.
Powertrain
Powering the Thar Roxx will be a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine that produces 158 BHP of power and 330 Nm of torque. In addition to this, the Thar Roxx also comes with an mHawk 2.2-litre turbo-diesel motor that produces 148 BHP of power and 330 Nm of torque. In its base avatar, the Thar Roxx comes with a 5-speed manual transmission on both the petrol and diesel engine options.
Pricing and Availability
Bookings for the Thar Roxx will open online and at Mahindra dealerships starting October 3, 2024, with test drives commencing on September 14, 2024. Deliveries are scheduled to begin during Dussehra, ensuring that customers can experience their new Mahindra SUV in time for the festive season. Here is a detailed pricing list:
