BSA Gold Star 650 launched in India at INR 2.99 Lakh

BSA Motorcycles has launched the new Gold Star 650 in the Indian market at the price of INR 2.99 lakh ex-showroom. The brand has launched the motorcycle in 5 different colour options and the price varies depending on the colour choice. The modern-retro motorcycle is built in India and directly rivals the Royal Enfield 650.

Design & Features

The BSA Gold Star 650 features an elegant retro classic design with rounded headlamps and a teardrop shaped fuel tank. In addition to this, the Gold Star 650 also comes with large fenders that goes well with its old-school design. However, the motorcycle also comes with modern features such as a twin-pod semi digital instruments cluster, an 12V socket with a USB charger.

The BSA Gold Star 650 gets is not just about the nostalgic design but also carries over the heritage of the British industry and engineering. Known as the world’s largest manufacturer, once upon a time, the Birmingham Small Arms company (BSA) has a huge following even till date and since it was founded in the 1861.

Powertrain

Powering the BS Gold Star 650 is a 652cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 45 BHP of power and 55 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The BSA Gold Star also comes with premium mechanical equipment such as Brembo brakes, Excel aluminium rims, a dual channel ABS and Pirelli tyres. The motorcycle also comes with conventional telescopic suspension on the front and twin shock absorbers on the rear.

Colours & Availability

The BSA Gold Star 650 will be available in Insignia Red, Highland Green, Midnight Black, Dawn Silver, and Shadow Black. The brand also announced that the BSA Gold Star 650 will be available at select dealerships across India starting August 15, 2024. Also, the brand plans to build a nationwide network of dealerships and service centres across the country to offer after sales service. Soon after, the brand also plans to expand the BSA brand to other countries such as US, Australia, and Japan.
