Tata is planning to update its hot-selling Punch SUV in the Indian market. The brand is currently road testing the Tata Punch facelift under camouflage covers, but spyshots of the Punch have emerged on the internet giving us a glimpse of what to expect when the brand launches the car next year.
Exteriors
According to reports, the new Tata Punch is likely to come with a refreshed design. The 2025 Tata Punch could come with a new front fascia similar to the Punch EV. However, the grille is likely to be ICE-specific in design. The headlamp unit, however, could be from the Punch EV. In addition to this, the rear of the car is likely to get only mild changes which may include a re-profiled bumper. The current spyshots reveal the same taillamp and alloy wheels, but the final production model could get new changes.
Interiors
On the inside, the facelift Punch is likely to come with a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system, similar to the Punch EV. In addition to this, the driver’s instruments cluster is also likely to be updated from the current 7-inch digital cluster to a 10.25-inch cluster on top-spec variants. While the test mule appears to get the same steering wheel, reports suggest that top-spec models could get a two-spoke steering wheels with an illuminated Tata logo in the centre. The Punch is also likely to come with driving modes as well as ventilated seats on top-spec trims.
Powertrain
The Tata Punch facelift is likely to come with the same engine and gearbox line-up. Which means the 2025 Punch is likely to be powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that produces 87.8 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The engine is also likely to continue to come with a CNG option from the factory.
