Tata has launched the new Punch.EV mini electric SUV in India at the starting price of INR 10.99 lakh ex-showroom. The brand also announced that the Punch.EV is now available to order from all Tata Motors showrooms authorised for EV sales and also Tata.ev stores across India. Tata is offering the Punch.EV in three personas – Smart, Adventure and Empowered. The pure electric vehicle will also be available in a standard as well as a Long Range variant.
Tata Punch.EV – Variants and Price
The Tata Punch.EV comes with three different personas – Smart, Adventure and Empowered. Smart which is the base persona comes with a price tag of INR 10.99 lakh ex-showroom. The Smart+ comes with a price of INR 11.49 lakh ex-showroom. The Adventure persona comes with a price tag of INR 11.99 lakh ex-showroom and goes upto INR 12.99 lakh ex-showroom for the Long Range variant. The Empowered persona starts at INR 12.79 lakh and goes upto INR 13.29 lakh for the Empowered+. The Empowered Long Range and Empowered+ Long Range comes with a price tag of INR 13.99 lakh and INR 14.49 lakh ex-showroom, respectively.
Tata Punch.EV – Technical Specifications, Battery Range and Performance
Powering the Tata Punch.EV are two e-Drive options. A 60kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous AC Motor (PMSM), producing 114 Nm and a 90kW PMSM with 190 Nm of torque. The electric motors are coupled to a two battery pack options – 25 kWh and a 35 kWh option. The smaller battery offers an MIDC range of 315 km while the larger battery option comes with an MIDC range of 421 km. The Punch.EV can accelerate from 0-100 km ph in just 9.5 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 140 kmph.
Tata Punch.EV – Key Features
The Tata Punch.EV comes with features such as a 26cm high-definition infotainment display by HARMAN along with a 26cm digital cockpit. The electric SUV also gets an illuminated logo at the center of the 2-spoke steering wheel. In addition to this, the Punch.EV also comes with 45W type-C USB port, wireless charging, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing
wipers and auto-dimming IRVM. The SUV also comes with Paddle Shifters with 4-level Multi-Mode Regeneration control an electric sunroof, front ventilated seats, mood lights and an air purifier with AQI display.
Tata Punch.EV – Safety
The Tata Punch.EV comes with IP67-rated battery for dust and water along with an 8 years or 1,60,000 km warranty. The Punch.EV also comes with 6 Airbags, Electronic Stability Program, Roll-over mitigation, Brake Disc
Wiping, Hydraulic fading compensation and ISOFIX seats available as standard across all personas. Additionally, higher-spec models also come with an Electronic parking brake with Auto Hold. The car also comes with 360-degree camera and blind-spot monitor. In addition to this, the EV also gets SOS Calling with E-Call & B-Call.
Tata Punch.EV – acti.ev Platform Makes Debut
The Punch.EV debuts the brand latest acti.ev architecture. The all-new made-in-India Pure EV architecture acti.ev stands for Advanced Connected Tech-Intelligent Electric Vehicle. The EV dedicated architecture includes Powertrain, Chassis, Electrical Architecture and Cloud Architecture.
