Husqvarna Motorcycles has launched the 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 in the the Indian market with a price tag of INR 2.92 lakh ex-showroom. The scrambler style motorcycle shares the engine, chassis and mechanical components with the latest generation KTM 390 Duke. The brand also revealed that the Svartpilen 401 will be available in India across 400+ KTM-Husqvarna Motorcycles authorised dealers. The motorcycle will be available from the end of January 2024 onwards.
2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 – New Yet Timeless Design
The 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 comes with a sophisticated design blending sharp edges with clean lines. In addition to the ultra-modern design, the Svartpilen 401 also features rugged dynamics for both urban environments and those occasional trails. The sleek scrambler also carries over the rich heritage of Husqvarna Motorcycle through its timeless design forming a synergy of form and function.
2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 – Key Features and Improvements
The 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 not only comes with a bigger engine and advanced suspension but also features a number of new features. New features include a new-generation LC4C engine that made its debut on the KTM 390 Duke. In addition to this, the Svartpilen 401 also comes with a new chassis and longer swingarm with off-centre rear suspension.
The front now features an adjustable WP USD Open cartridge front fork. The bike also gets LED headlight with positioning light ring. Also, a new 5-inch bonded glass TFT display with optional external BCCU for connectivity adds a high-level of modernity to the bike. Husqvarna is also offering an Easy Shift system (Quickshiter) as standard with the Svartpilen 401.
2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 – Improvements compared to the 2022 Svartpilen 250
Compared to the 2022 Svartpilen 250 which the brand sold in India, the Svartpilen 401 comes with a lot of mechanical improvements. This includes a new engine, chassis and suspension. Thanks to the new improvements the 2024 Svartpilen 401 now gets improved ground clearance – 177 mm vs the 152 mm of the Svartpilen 250.
The bike also comes with improved rider seat height – 820 mm vs 842 mm. The pillion seat height is now – 877 mm vs 907 mm. The overall seat length is also 100mm longer than the 2022 Svartpilen 250. The Svartpilen 401 also comes with an increased fuel tank capacity of 13.5-litre vs 9.5-litre as well. The lower rider seat height of 820 will also allow riders with shorter inseam lengths to enjoy the sophisticated Scrambler.
2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 – Technical Specifications
Powering the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 is a 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-valve DOHC engine. The engine produces 45 Hp of power and 39 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle comes with 43mm adjustable WP suspension on the front. The bike also comes with ByBre brakes, and Bosch Dual Channel ABS. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 also comes with chunky 17-inch alloy wheels shod in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres.
