India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd. (IKM) has unveiled the MY24 Kawasaki Eliminator, bringing the Eliminator brand back to life in India. The motorcycle was revealed globally in March last year and we expected it to be launched at India Bike Week. The new Eliminator aims to redefine the riding experience with its timeless design and rider-friendly features.
New Eliminator Design
Designed with rider approachability in mind, the MY24 Kawasaki Eliminator boasts an engine, frame, and suspension that cater to the demands of street riding. The cruiser’s styling combines a long and low, elegant design with a modern, compact, round-shaped LCD instrument panel. It features a low and comfortable seat, a lightweight chassis, and a rider-friendly design. The wheels and brakes, with an 18-inch front and 16-inch rear, contribute to the motorcycle’s striking figure.
The seat height stands at 734 mm which makes the bike very comfortable for short riders. The ground clearance is 150 mm which means one won’t be able to take the bike out on really bad surfaces. The bike also comes with Kawasaki ergo-fit which allows customers to choose custom handlebars, foot pegs, etc.
Powertrain
The cruiser is powered by a smooth and robust 451cc parallel-twin engine, based on the Ninja 400 sport bike platform. The Eliminator engine features a 6.8mm longer stroke to increase displacement to 451cc. The engine produces a peak power of 45 hp @ 9000 rpm and peak torque of 42.6 Nm @ 6000 rpm. It is coupled with a trellis frame designed for street riding. Its capable chassis, comfortable ergonomics, and modern technology aim to make every ride enjoyable, whether in the city or on the highway. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission and the assist and slipper clutch for a lighter feel at the lever.
The new Eliminator comes equipped with a range of features, including a round LED headlight, digital instrumentation, and a Rideology app for smartphone connectivity. It offers accessories options such as a rear carrier, tank pad, radiator screen, and frame sliders.
The Eliminator incorporates Bluetooth technology into its instrument panel, allowing riders to connect wirelessly using Rideology app for enhanced functionality and logging various instrument functions.
Priced at ₹5,62,000/- (Ex-Showroom), the cruiser is available in “Metallic Flat Spark Black.” Interested buyers can check the on-road price here.
