Tata Motors has commenced the bookings for the upcoming Safari. Interested customers can pay a token amount of INR 25,000 to reserve the SUV. According to Tata, the deliveries are expected to begin this month.
2023 Tata Safari facelift : What to expect?
The new Safari will debut with the updated grille, new bronze inserts and a full-width LED lightbar. This lightbar will get a welcome function. The headlights are updated with new LED units and positioned down on the bumper.
Towards the back there is a new LED tail lamp setup with a connected lightbar with goodbye function. The indicators get a sequential function.
On the inside, there is a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, with wireless connectivity, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, two-spoke steering with illuminated logo and more.
In addition to that Tata Safari facelift will also benefit from a slew of new features. The most talked about change is a redesigned dashboard. Along with this, other interior design elements changes will make the SUV look more premium and contemporary.
Tata has also equipped the SUV with a touch based central control panel, mood lights, a 45W USB fast charger and a 10-speaker JBL system with Harman AudioworX.
The second row occupants will also benefit from ventilated seats.
Coming to safety features, the new Safari is expected with six airbags as standard, ADAS suite, 3-pt seatbelts for all, and ISOFIX child seat anchors amongst others. Meanwhile, the 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors will aid in moving the car from tight spots.
Powertrain of the new Tata Safari
The Safari will continue with the 2.0-litre diesel engine rated at 168 BHP and 350 Nm. This motor is paired with a choice of manual or automatic transmission.
Tata could also launch a new petrol engine, but it is not yet confirmed.
