MG Motor India has announced a new sales milestone. The British brand has sold 1,75,000 cars in India since inception. Furthermore, MG Motor also holds the distinction of being the 2nd largest EV seller in India. The company’s ZS EV and MG Comet led the show. The EV sales stand at over 12,000 units.
100 Year Anniversary of MG Motor
2023 marks the 100th year anniversary of the British brand. The company has hence dedicated this anniversary year to recognize and reward its loyal customers. To this end, a 100-day campaign has been announced. There are many offers including special pricing, exchange benefits, loyalty schemes, extended warranty and service offers for new customers.
Apart from this, there are daily giveaways at MG dealerships and loyalty bonus for new cars.
MG Comet EV Gamer Edition
MG Motor India has launched a new special edition of the Comet all-electric car. The Gamer Edition is available to customers at an additional price of INR 64,999 over the base price of the car.
This special edition of the compact EV has been designed by Indian gamer Naman Mathur. Mathur goes by the name of MORTAL in games. On the outside, the car gets recycled plastic along with dark chrome and an illuminated metal finish. On the insides, there are neon elements which also glow.
Overall, the car has been made to appeal to gaming enthusiasts and fans. The interior ambient lights, along with tactile patterns on the key have been especially curated to suite the tastes of the gamers. The Gamer Edition is available on all the three variants of the Comet – namely Pace, Play and Plush.
MG Comet EV comes equipped with a 17.3 kWh battery pack and claims to have a range of about 230 km. The battery is coupled with a rear-axle-mounted electric motor that produces 42 PS power and delivers a torque of 110 Nm. Comet EV is available with a 3.3 kW AC charging option which takes 7 hours to charge from 0-100%.
