What’s new in the Honda Activa 125 H-Smart?
Some of the features and details of the new upcoming Honda scooter have leaked online. Similar to the Activa 6G, the Activa 125 will now come with a smart key. This key allows the user to lock / unlock the handle bar, open the seat to reveal the storage and release the fuel lid without using the physical key. Additionally, the key can also help locate the scooter in a parking lot and comes with anti-theft safety features.
No mechanical changes in the Honda Activa 125 H-Smart
Honda is not expected to change the powertrain or any other mechanicals in the scooter. The Activa 125 H-Smart is likely to get the same 123.97 cc single-cylinder motor. This engine is good for 8.18 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 10.3 Nm of peak torque @ 5,000 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a CVT gearbox.

HMSI recently announced its sales figures for February 2023. HMSI’s total sales stood at 2,47,175 units. This figure includes 227,064 units in domestic sales and 20,111 units as exports for the month. The Japanese bike maker is aggressively expanding its premium motorcycle business. HMSI further added the #GoRidin spirit with the addition of new BigWing Outlets. These have come up in Kannur (Kerala), Raghunath Ganj (West Bengal), and Patna (Bihar).
Further, Honda is also planning to launch the Activa 7G. This is expected to look more sharper and aggressive. Activa has held the top position in the scooter segment in India for a long time. The two-wheeler maker has updated the scooter at regular intervals to stay relevant and keep up with the competition.
