Tata Motors has updated the prices of its entire passenger vehicle range. This includes Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Punch, Nexon, Harrier, and Safari. This price hike is already in effect and applicable across the models. Customers planning to buy a Tata product now will have to pay for the updated pricing starting from February 2023. With this, the SUV siblings, Harrier and Safari received the maximum price increment in their ex-showroom prices. With the updated pricing, Harrier and Safari have now become even more pricey. This gives a good opportunity for customers to look at the Mahindra XUV700, which takes on the Harrier and Safari at their respective price range.
How Does The Updated Pricing Stand Now?
With the price revisions, Tata Harrier now falls in the price range of INR 15 lakh to INR 22.60 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas its elder sibling, the Safari now falls in the price bracket of INR 15.65 lakh to INR 24 lakh (ex-showroom). Noteworthy to mention, leaving for the entry-level XE variants of both SUVs which got a price hike of INR 20,000. All other variants have now become costlier by INR 25,000.
Powertrain Options
Both SUVs use the same diesel engine. This is the 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel motor. The performance rating of the motor reads as 168 BHP and 350 Nm of torque. Customers get two gearbox options to choose from, which are a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission. Although there is no AWD version, the SUVs do come with a special ESP system with selectable modes for different conditions. This includes, normal, wet, and rough.
Features On Offer
In terms of features as well, the SUVs get a long list of equipment. The key highlighting ones include an 8.8-inch floating infotainment system that dominates the dashboard. Other features include an eight-way adjustable driver seat with a four-way adjustable co-driver seat, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, electric ORVMs, a cooled storage box, an electric sunroof, and likes.
