Tata Motors adds 1st All-Women Passenger Vehicles Showroom

Tata Motors recently inaugurated the company’s First All-Women Passenger Vehicles Showroom in Southern India. This showroom has come up at the strategic location of Jubilee Hills, one of Hyderabad’s most coveted locations. This showroom will boast an all-women team of 20 ladies, who will take responsibility for the complete operation of the dealership. These will include sales, after-sales, valet, security, and housekeeping to the necessary back-end operations, amongst others. This facility has a total area of 5,000sq ft. This showroom will bring Tata Motors’ New Forever range of passenger vehicles closer to the customers. Tata Motors claims to bring in best-in-class sales experience to all customers in and around this region.

Tata Motors’ Effort For Gender Diversity

With this move, Tata Motors proves its openness to diversity and inclusion at all levels, which play a critical part in its strategy for success. From a sales perspective, Tata Motors mentioned a surge in women customers by more than 30 per cent. The average age for this demographic group of customers dropped from 37 to 34 years. This indicates an increase in the affinity of young women toward car purchases. Thus, this inauguration of the all-women dealership is in line with Tata Motor’s decisive efforts to augment gender inclusion.

Importance Of Southern Indian Markets

Hyderabad is a key market for Tata Motors, and so is the market of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. If we go through the sales figure of this, in FY22, Tata Motors witnessed a growth of 82 per cent (compared to FY21) in the passenger vehicle sales portfolio. With this, the market share stood at 13 per cent in the region.

Southern India is a massive market for all major car makers in India. Thus Tata Motors is doing it all to make its New Forever range of cars and SUVs easily accessible in all this region. Important markets include Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. To realise this, Tata Motors has also increased its sales network to 319 outlets and 163 service centres. Tata Motors also mentioned that they will continue expanding aggressively to serve more customers.
