BMW Motorrad has finally launched the much-awaited touring range in India. This includes the new BMW R 1250 RT, the new BMW K 1600 GTL, the new BMW K 1600 Bagger and the new BMW K 1600 Grand America. The company also mentioned the deliveries of the motorcycles to customers who had pre-booked the motorcycles across the BMW Motorrad Dealer Network in India will start in August 2022.
BMW Motorrad Touring Motorcycles Range
These new BMW Motorrad touring motorcycles embody the motto of the ‘Spirit of the Open Road’ claimed by BMW. These touring motorcycles are synonymous with elegance, power, and luxury on two wheels. As an ultimate luxury touring motorcycle range, the new BMW R 1250 RT, the new BMW K 1600 GTL, the new BMW K 1600 Bagger and the new BMW K 1600 Grand America aims to redefine the luxury and exclusivity in the touring segment in India. All the motorcycles use either the legendary 2-cylinder boxer or the unrivalled 6-cylinder engine performance. Both of these engines offer outstanding ride comfort and exclusive features. Thus customers get a relaxed cruising on long highways along with ample riding pleasure.
The New BMW R 1250 RT
For more than four decades, the ‘RT’ brand has been synonymous with the world of dynamic touring motorcycles. The new BMW R 1250 RT is now fresher and more dynamic with updated travel and touring qualities. There are some changes to its aerodynamic advancements, a new fairing and full LED headlamps. The BMW R 1250 RT sets the benchmark in its segment with its new innovations. The legendary 2-cylinder boxer engine guarantees comfortable travel and dynamic propulsion, as claimed by BMW.
Technical Specifications
The equipped BMW ShiftCam technology delivers superior power across the entire speed range and high fuel efficiency. The powerful 1,254 cc 2-cylinder boxer engine makes an output of 136hp (100kW) at 7,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 143 Nm at 6,250 rpm. The motorcycle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hr in just 3.7 seconds. Add to this its claimed top speed of 200 km/hr, an exciting ride for sure. BMW R 1250 RT will retail with a price tag of INR 23,95,000 (ex-showroom). Key features of the motorcycle include an extra-large 10.25″ TFT display, the Active Cruise Control (ACC) and more.

This new BMW Motorrad touring range will be sold and serviced via the premium dealer network of BMW Motorrad. The dealership network currently has a presence across important centres in India.
